Our Staff

Julie Miracle, LPC

It is nice to meet you! I am the founder of Life In Balance Services PLLC.

I’ve always loved to help people.

As a kid, I loved teamwork.

I was always very curious and wanted to support my friends and loved ones in accomplishing things they thought they couldn’t achieve.

It brought me simple joy.

When I moved on in life, and my story moved to adulthood, life started becoming complicated.

And this is where my path to my life vision unfolded.

I always wanted to be a therapist and knew I was on the path I had envisioned.

I attended Old Dominion University in Virginia and played on an NCAA Division One field hockey team. I got my master’s in counseling psychology in 2005 from Immaculata University in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Along the way, I had to balance many new areas: being a full-time therapist,  mother of two, mother to dog children, and financial manager.

I used various skills I teach in my own life. I would never ask someone to do something I couldn’t see myself doing.

Eventually, I became a licensed professional counselor trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

When I reached my 40s, life interrupted my plans.

I experienced an unexpected life-changing medical event, resulting in my journey with PTSD.

I have felt loss.

I struggled for a few years and wasn’t sure if I could get back to the self I once knew – ambitious, always using my creative mind, balancing all the areas of adulthood.

But I did get back to that self – myself.

Through work using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy, I escaped those clouds that now weigh down on you.

And I want to help you achieve the same – this goal lies at the heart of my mission today.

I dedicate myself to helping others overcome the challenges of being an adult and reaching for their goals.

I want to pass this freedom and exhilaration on to you.

I am licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Kentucky.

I also provide online therapy to bring this specialty practice to your safe space.

When I’m not in session with you…

I live in the outdoors. Nature brings peace and calm.

I love watching my kids grow and develop and challenge to ensure they have opportunities in life.

I love our silver lab named Bella, who brings joy to my family every day. Let me apologize ahead of time if she comes to check on me in our session. Unlike typical Labs, she grew up with a Boxer and learned to use her paws. So, you may see her come “paw” my arms. She will certainly give us some humor!

Reach out to us today – let’s not wait another moment to begin your journey back to the light – and yourself.

Craig L. Oliver, MA

Hi, I’m Craig.

It’s nice to meet you.

I have been in the mental health field for four decades and love what I do.

I have always applied the belief that every person should receive the utmost:

RESPECT – HOPE – PURPOSE

Preparing for my life’s calling…

I completed my undergrad studies in social welfare at San Francisco State University. As I realized that I had entered a very special field, I combined and completed my graduate studies in counseling at National University and Canyon College.

As a counselor, I have been fortunate to work with all age and ethnic groups with an integrated philosophy in all levels of care.

Some areas of focus include Couples Counseling, Family Therapy, Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment, Anger Management, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Substance Use Disorders – Harm Reduction, ASAM Assessments, and Grief Counseling.

Life is a challenge worth living, and my therapeutic focus is on your individuality, strengths, education, and empowerment. Risk to change is never easy, but risk promotes growth. I look forward to joining you on that journey.

When I’m not in the office…

My love for community work has been strong over the last 17 years, and I am grateful. I am also a father of two adult children and have four awesome grandchildren. My leisure-time activities are music (all kinds), cooking, boating, fishing, camping, traveling, and enjoying life with my very special wife, Jan.

Sharon Yerger, LPC, PCMH

Hi, I’m Sharon.

My approach aims at helping you build coping skills for health and wellness goals. We will discuss using validation, taking responsibility for our thoughts and feelings, and embracing change strategies.

My focus is on YOU and YOUR needs.

When it comes to treatment, you have individual choices, insights, and beliefs for discussion in therapy. There are many paths to recovery, depending on what is suitable for you.

We will work collaboratively to build upon your strengths and find solutions. Please feel free to call me and ask any questions about therapy so you can embrace change and your health and wellness goals.

Transitions are challenging – I understand. Your first call to me is the beginning of our journey. Our emotions help us learn to change our behaviors. Learning to be present helps us take action in the moment where we can be successful in being our best selves.

I want to help you live your life with insight, acceptance, and positive coping skills for your health and wellness.

Preparation and experience

My Bachelor of Arts degree is in Sociology, and my Master of Arts is in Clinical Counseling in Psychology from La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Additionally, I have a Certification in Gerontology from Gwynedd Mercy University in Pennsylvania.

I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work with a Certificate of Training in Community Care.

I have facilitated and developed Dialectical Behavioral Skills Groups in person and telehealth for Penn Foundation Behavioral Services in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and Collaborative Care at Harleysville, Pennsylvania, for mood disorders and coping skills for health and wellness goals.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and Professional Counselor of Mental Health (PCMH) in Delaware, I provide personal telehealth psychotherapy to individuals and groups faced with challenges including, but not limited to, mood disorders, bipolar, depression, anxiety, parenting, ADHD, behavioral issues, self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship issues, and life transitions.

When I am not working…

I am a wife, mother of two adults, and grandmother of three. I know the stressors that can come from raising a family and trying to juggle everything we must do.

In my spare time, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, rowing, and traveling with my husband.

Brian Hickman, LPC

Hi, I’m Brian.

My approach to therapy is helping you feel comfortable to talk about anything and everything. It has been my experience that this approach helps people to not only gain a greater sense and awareness of self, but has helped them gain greater self-confidence, self-reliance, and agency when it comes to dealing with life’s problems.

I use a modern psychoanalytic/psychodynamic approach that is unique to each individual’s personality and needs. I have experience working with teens to people 65+ years, as well as a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, anger issues, drug abuse, infidelity, sexual problems, trauma, ADHD, and more.

If you are new to therapy and are considering reaching out, or have done therapy before and would like to try again, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting you, and helping you find peace of mind.

When I am not in the office…

I enjoy working out, reading, drawing, playing guitar, hiking, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
